Our LARP weekends
Everything you need to know before joining a weekend: how it works, safety, rules, staff roles, our universe and our partners.
How the LARP works
Our LARP is a full weekend of immersion at Domaine de la Butte (355 Chem. de la Butte, Lemieux, QC). Youth aged 10 to 18 play a character they created and live through an interactive story run by our team.
The activity starts Saturday at 9 a.m. and ends around noon on Sunday. Lodging is in forest tents, with separate areas for boys and girls. The $100 fee covers everything: meals, lodging, game mastering, game material and supervision.
Character creation is mandatory before purchase on Herosphere.ca, so every player arrives with a ready sheet and play can start on arrival.
Youth safety management
Safety comes before play. A complete health form (emergency contact, allergies, medication, diet) is mandatory for every participant and can be updated at any time in the member area.
Trained adult staff are present at all times, day and night, with supervision of the camping areas. A first-aid lead is on site and an intervention log is kept.
Only foam weapons are allowed, and each is inspected before the activity. Head strikes, real physical contact and dangerous manoeuvres are forbidden. A stop word lets any player immediately interrupt a scene.
Rules during the activity
- Absolute respect for players, staff and the site.
- No drugs, alcohol, cigarettes or vaping.
- Approved foam weapons only; no real weapons or sharp objects.
- No head strikes and no real physical contact.
- The stop word immediately pauses play around the player.
- Phones stay put away during scenes, except in an emergency.
- Players stay within the game area at all times.
- We leave the site cleaner than we found it.
Breaking a safety rule can lead to removal from play and, if needed, a return home at the parents' expense.
Game mastering and assistant staff
The game-mastering team writes the plots, plays non-player characters and referees combat. Every staff member is trained in safety, youth supervision and conflict management.
Returning participants aged 15 and up can become assistant staff: they shadow an experienced game master, play supporting roles and learn LARP logistics. It is an entry point to the staff team and a great leadership experience.
To apply as staff or assistant staff, write to us through the Contact page.
The LARP universe
Our universe is an original medieval-fantasy world: rival kingdoms, knightly orders, craft guilds, rare magic and forest creatures. Inspiration comes from European legends as much as from the Greco-Latin humanities we pass on with our educational partners.
Each player picks an origin, a trade and an allegiance. Those choices genuinely shape the story: alliances, quests and conflicts from one weekend carry over into the next.
The story so far
The first seasons saw an ancient order fall and the northern roads open to merchant caravans. Heroes earned titles, debts and a few enemies along the way.
Last season, a threat from the forests forced rival kingdoms into a fragile truce. The truce still holds… for now.
Summer 2026 opens a new chapter: alliances must be renegotiated and new heroes are expected at camp. This section is updated after every game weekend.
